You Now Have Time...
Make The Most Of It!

The Coronavirus is here and unfortunately will be around for awhile. As we begin to brace ourselves for the coming weeks and months, we now have more of something we have always wanted....TIME. So the question is what are you going to do with it?

Here are a few ideas to get you started:

1.LEARN something new - There are multiple courses you can take online through Creative Live, Adobe Cloud, Kelby Training, PPA Online that can help you hone your craft. Did you always want to learn how to sketch, paint or do photography? Grab a sketchbook, canvas or camera and get started!

2. LISTEN to a podcast - I imagine we will be spending part of our day outside getting some fresh air and walking. There are plenty of great podcasts to choose from that can be both entertaining and informative.

3. Make a list of all the things you said you would like to do if "only you had more time" and actually start doing it. Clean out your garage, closets, office. Empty your email box. Update your website, profile picture and marketing materials. You no longer have an excuse to procrastinate.

4. Read a book on creativity or ways to build your business. Or if you want to "get away" for awhile, find a great novel. Here is the link to my ebook - "A Solopreneurs Guide To Business Building" -  https://dougmattice.com/business-branding-guide/

5. Start meditating or doing some yoga. Doing this activity will really help you get through this crisis. The CALM app is a wonderful resource if you want to start a daily meditation and calming practice.

6. Make some memories with your family and/or spouse. Start cooking meals or baking together. Watch a sunset. Drive to the mountains or lake and enjoy nature. Watch a movie at home. Plant a garden. Play tennis. Ride bikes.

7. Work ON YOUR BUSINESS versus in it. Come up with a marketing calendar for the rest of the year. What new products could you produce? What improvements can you make in your processes/workflow? Can you update your marketing materials and website? When was the last time you updated your price list? Learn how to do a webinar or Facebook live. Tackle that tough "tech" project.

Remember even in a crisis, your life and business must go on. This downtime will give you lots of time to refocus on what is important, and can give you just the right momentum going forward when this virus passes.

Make the best of the coming days by staying home and being healthy!

Yay I love this! I’m planning to get Masterclass and also work on using my Apple Pencil.
